Aldenham is a great place to sail and almost idyllic on a warm day with a gentle breeze. And now with the long summer holidays it's a great time to spend the day at the club.

However please bear in mind that should you inadvertently capsize and get your mast stuck in the mud upside down you could be really stuck. Therefore we recommend that you don't sail at ASC alone, it's best to always have someone on shore or sailing in another boat who can use the safety boat should you need it.

And if your mast is going in the mud - there's nothing for it but to jump in, swim to the front of the boat and push the boat around in a circle.
