• For Children - Starting Sailing - the basic skills course for children in single handers. 
  The course will be based on the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme and will run on Saturday and Sundays normally in April/May/June, with the aim of taking participants to the next stage of the YSS. It is aimed at existing club membership and for that reason an ASC Family membership is required for this course. For more information please see the Course Outlines page.

• For Adults and Teenagers
  • An initial 'taster' day at the start of the season (April)
  • An RYA National Sailing Scheme Start Sailing Course run on 4 Saturdays in April/May/june
  • An RYA NSS Scheme Start Racing Course run on 4 Sunday Afternoons in May/June

The club also provides other courses:

• RYA Powerboat course - Essential for all club members who might use the safety boat, this course is run on demand in winter normally.

• Enterprise Training Day. An absolute must for ASC Enterprise Sailors covering all aspects of racing the Ent.  Normally held in March each year. For details please contact the class captain.
